Mouser Electronics has entered into a global distribution agreement with SOMNIUM Technologies, a company focused on evolving software development tools to a new level. The SOMNIUM Technologies product line provides developers with the company’s Device-aware Resequencing Tools (DRT) software that supports devices from leading semiconductor manufacturers, including Atmel, NXP, STMicroelectronics and others. DRT is fully source-compatible with industry-standard GNU (including the latest C11 and C++14 dialects and C++ exception handling), and offers exceptional code generation and enhanced debug features. DRT analyses the whole program, identifying all instruction and data sequences and the interactions between them. Knowledge of the device’s memory system and ARM Cortex pipeline are used to intelligently resequence the program, resulting in code that is optimised for energy, size, performance and efficiency in a fully automated process that requires no manual intervention.
